• DIY Vintage Book Pumpkins

Make Fall pumpkins out of ordinary books or vintage books…..OH YES YOU CAN!!! HERE’S HOW TO DO IT! Start by finding a book that you don’t use or want. It doesn’t matter what it looks like because you are going to take the cover off and only use the inside pages of the book. Cut off right top pages of book to form shape of pumpkin. Note: you will only be able to cut several pages at a time with scissors. Then do the same thing to the bottom right side pages of book doing several pages at a time. Keep this up until all pages have been cut and…

  • Pantry Makeover

My pantry has been in need of a reorganization for a while. Let’s just say it has been a hot mess for way too long now. My daughter was with us this past week and she decided to work on our pantry! Score!! We sat down together and worked on a plan for things that I needed for the pantry such as new containers, baskets, and other bins that we would need for good organization. She got on the computer and found some good options on Amazon and they arrived in just a few days! I can’t believe we are actually going to get this pantry done! So the next…

  • $5 Find Transformation! with Rust-Oleum

I’m at it again with another Rust-Oleum makeover! This time, it’s with a yard sale find from a few weeks ago. I’m finally posting everything and getting caught up! I found this wire basket thing at a yard sale and knew I could do something with it, but I wasn’t sure exactly what. It’s a pretty long piece. At first, I thought about hanging it on a wall to organize plants. Then, I thought about turning it into a laundry organizer. I had so many ideas rolling around in my head! And then I thought about turning it into table. My daughter suggested using hairpin legs for the table! What’s…

  • Rust-Oleum Bicycle Makeover!

As Haven conference is coming up, I’ve been SO busy with fun projects! One of them is a Rust-Oleum spray paint challenge. The spray paint challenge is to transform and refresh a furniture or decor piece! Here is my transformation: We’ve had this bike for years (got it from my niece), and we used to ride it around! But then it sat on the side of the house. And it sat. And it sat. Until FINALLY I decided to transform it. I used Rust-Oleum’s 2020 Coral color because it popped and reminded me of summer! I love this 2020 color line and could’ve gone with any of the choices honestly.…

  • Hyped up for HAVEN Conference!

In a few weeks, I’ll be attending my first HAVEN CONFERENCE! Originally, I was meant to fly to Atlanta, Georgia, and meet up with home decor enthusiasts and influencers, but now we get the chance to meet virtually and learn together! I’m actually excited to learn from the comfort of my home. I get to stay safe and still learn at this conference! This year the conference will be handled by ZOOM. The Haven administrators have been so amazing to offer ZOOM help to those who need it. They have been performing ZOOM practice calls periodically throughout the past few weeks for people to participate in and it has been…

  • Mother’s Day and Gift Ideas

Mother’s Day How will you celebrate Mother’s Day on Sunday? It will look different for everyone as we all are in a different situation this year with COVID19. It’s a very different world from the world it once was three months ago. We may all be wearing masks on Sunday but it is Mother’s Day so let’s celebrate all of the mothers in our lives whether they be near or far. They deserve our thanks and love on Sunday and every day. My Mom I am lucky because my mom is still living and resides in a home very close to me. I can drive to her house in about…

  • Good Housekeeping Feature!

I could not let April slip by without thanking Good Housekeeping for our Feature in the Good Stuff this month. What a thrill it was to open and see our picture on the pages of this publication! I may or may not have gone out and bought a few issues for every room in my home but who’s to say? The feature is located on the third page and it’s called The Good Stuff. It’s a DIY simple floral arrangement of tulips placed in thrifted milk glass vases. I have been collecting milk glass for years. I find milk glass from various places such as yard sales, thrift shops and…

  • Master Bath Renovation: Mother/Daughter Edition

What’s better than one renovation? TWO!  That’s right, we have a special post today because we are featuring two bathroom renovations, with before-and-after photos! One bathroom is in California and the other was in Arizona!  My master bathroom was completed around September 2018, and my daughter’s master bathroom was completed just a few weeks ago!  CALIFORNIA We always wanted to do something about our master bathroom, so we finally made the choice to just do it! The room was a little outdated (we hadn’t updated it much since we bought the home), and we were feeling ready for a reno!  The renovation process took a few months, but it was…

  • One-Day Makeover

With three cans of paint and three hours of work, my living room entertainment center looks like an entirely new piece!!  Of course I can’t take the credit—my son-in-law painted it this past weekend when he and my daughter came to visit. My husband and daughter also helped paint, and I did a little too. It was a whole family affair! Take a look at the BEFORE picture of our TV center: It wasn’t horrible, but the brown polished wood definitely stood out in my lighter, brighter room. I had been wanting a change for so long, and my son-in-law is such a go-getter that this project was done in…
